I am sure many of you already know about this place, but www.supercrewsound.com has some good looking new sub boxes for the 04/05 SCREW's and SCAB's. They have dual and single boxes for 8's and 10's, and you can choose the color of carpet. I am going to put a couple 10's under my backseat with a fat amp. Anyway, thought some of you might like this information. (no I don't work for the place...just came accross it)
Hey blue 2004 FX4, very nice truck. About your sub box, do you have any problems with the subs contacting the cab floor on big bass hits, i.e. long exursions. I've had subs behind the seats in a regular cab who's travel was cut short by the back of the seat and muddied the sound. I really like your set up, but I'm affraid I might get muddy sound again.
blue2004fx4, Thanks. The box allows for a 5 1/2" mounting depth, what's the depth your bazooka subs? I'm considering 10" Polk MM104's, with a depth of 5 1/16"
Go with Resonant Engineerings RE 8's. you can get em new for like $140 for 2, i got mine used for 120 shipped. you wont be dissapointed, id put money that they will sound better than the 8w3v2s and the 8" l7s. but if your going for spl, go with the l7s.
I just installed my single 10" last night for my Screw. I got the supercrewsound box, and went with a MTX Thunder4500 DVC sub and Thunder 251D amp. It sounds good, I still have the factory cd player, and have some Kenwood components in my front doors. Sorry I don't have pics yet of my sub setup.
