Is it the GEM
Ok Ok, have had the interior lights/ door ajar thing going on for a while! Did the door switch's (new)!-No fix, have been told to replace the GEM, just cautious about throwing good money after bad! Now the intemittent wipers were on low, and acting like they were on the highest setting (of intermittent)!
Does this more than likely confirm the GEM? Now can I replace with confidence!

check multifunction switch for bad wiring
i quick test wiggle and tap in pull on multifunction switch,sounds cheesy but this is what happened to me ,My door chime would stay on constant with out the key the windows would function and a/c switch would power on the a/c clutch and radio would play all the time (all these with the key in my hand).Well after testing the ignition switch ok ,replaced key lock still the same problem,everyone said it was the GEM module so I replaced it ok it took me 3 hrs to r and r the module pit everything together it worked fine . Drove to the gas station and came back home the problem continues .Well in digust i wiggle the multi switch for the hell of it and the chime went off wiggled it again and it the chime came back.even though i reomeved the black and pink wire off the key switch,so the multi switch was the problem i guess wires were rubbing together causing my problem.replaced switch problem gone .and know i have an extra gem module. so checkthe multi switch first....
