Darylhunter, (as a diesel newbe, can I impose upon your thread?), Before someone adds their $.02 about PRI-D, I've heard about the other additives too, but may I also ask, 'when do we need to add fuel conditioners'? OK, I didn't crawl from under my rock just yesterday, I know that Diesel can gell at cold temps, but at what temperatures should we be concerned?
My understanding of these additives is that they should ideally be used regularly even during the summer. Their principal purpose isn't to prevent gelling - at least I don't think that's the case.
I use it for the added lubricity and fuel conditioning it might provide. I have the early 03 C94 injectors and want to hedge my bet. I does seem to run better, quieter and get better fuel economy. Not much, but enough to be noticeable.
I use Stanadyne in each tankful...I do it because of the good ratings it recieved here on this site and my turck is parked sometimes for weeks at a time..I made good sense to use something...Good Luck

I too use an additive on every tank- Power Service. The truck doesn't seem to put out nearly as much smoke on start-up nor under hard acceleration. I do not have any info on the PRI-D, although I am curious if anyone has used the Lucas Fuel Conditioner?
I've been using PRI-G for 5 years, and Pri-D since I bought the 6.0, about 1 year. You will probably not "feel" anything different, it is just a fuel preservative/restorer, and helps keep the cylinders from building up carbon deposits. They also make a biocide, Pri-Ocide, and anti-gel, Pri-Flow, of which I also use both. http://www.priproducts.com
