Lifting Twin I-Beams

I'm planning on lifting my '81 F100 2wd. I have 2 inch blocks for the rear, and I want something around 1/2-1 inch for the front. Coil spacers would work nicely, but what do I have to do to keep the tires from slanting out more than they already are? Do I need some kind of drop brakets for the radius arms and axles?? and where would I get these? Thanks.

hey I know you want to left it only two inches but you can get a kit from skyjacker for a 4 inch lift I have the six inch lift and it has drop brackets for radius arms and twin I beam brackets. Maybe this helps

i personally dont think an inch and a half is gonna make that much of a difference. sure radius arms wont be at a factory angle but i would imagine that the camber could still be adjusted fine. seeing as its a two wheel drive the pinion angle isnt gonna matter any. i say go for it.. see what happens. just my two cents

I would get some Progressive rate leveling springs, then take it to a shop that knows the ford front end as they will be able to align it, believe me you will want to have it aligned.

when you say coil spacers your not talking those cheep blocks that spread out one coil of your spring are you? I can't really see the point of lifting 2wd but have fun with it. If you want a good cheep lift and you don't use the truck for hauling do a shackel flip on the rear rather than blocks. There is some info about this on the 4x4 forum. I'd have to talk a look at the front of my friends 2wd in order to make a good suggestion for the front but don't do a lift kit from a store like Azone they are junk

Jeffs Bronco Graveyard has the 4" suspension lift for the 2wd trucks for $450 plus shipping. Thats what I am gonna do on my 2wd, just because I want to.
