'04 4.0 engine knock

I've been fighting this awhile and wondered if anyone else is also: Bad pinging since day 1. Dealer has had it twice. First they reprogrammed the computer (made it worse), new MAF sensor second trip (no change). They now say that they are waiting for some software upgrade of some sort. They also admitted that they have another customer with the same problem and that Ford has acknowledged this as a common problem. I may need to do a little research into Pennsylvania's lemon law.

Dude, you have me scared. However, I have 6,700 miles on my 4.0 and it still runs like new. I've had zero problems with my truck so far. Knock wood.

Bought it in March.
