Winter Storage???

Just wondering how often a psd should be started and run if its going to be parked for5 months?Or will it do any harm not to start it at all?

I'd make it a point to start the vehicle every week or so and let it warm up and charge the battery (driving it around the block would be even better). I own several different pieces of equipment that sit for long periods of time between use, and most people I've talked to gave me the same advice.

Put anti-gel in the fuel tank, Standyne is the best.

What about biocide? Is micro organism/ algae growth a problem during cold months? I use Power Service Diesel Clean (the grey bottle) during summer. It says among other things it's for storage, is it good enough or do i need to find some biocide? I plan to keep tanks full up to prevent condensation, therefore corrosion.
