Unhappy front diff(dana 60)

is it supposed to do that???

went to check front diff while doing brakes,tires off and axle on stands,locked hubs and turned wheel,front driveshaft turned,then held driveshaft and tried to turn wheel,wheel turned and heard clicc from front diff,if not how to fix it any manuals online???

--square, sounds like one of your hubs is only partially locking. Check them both. They can be replaced or sometimes repaired. I know there are limited parts available if the hub is actually broken but you can completly dissassemble and clean them. 9 our of 10 times the problem is just that the hub is gummed up inside with dirt and bearing grease and will not engage into the fully locked position.

As for manuals, im sure there are how to's somewhere but i dont know of any. I would suggest purchasing a service manaual or subscribing to www.alldata.com if you want a quick breakdown of the parts. To be honest its really a fairly simple and strait forward repair.
