i own a ranger and a Chevy suburban
my question is: I just bought a used 350 motor for my suburban for $800.It has 17k miles and came from same year truck.what are your thoughts?

Simple, put the chevy motor in the chevy product. I assume you bought it because the current motor you have is a replacement candidate.

just wanted to know if you all thought
it was a decent price for the motor.My 88 Ranger has a new motor, bad A4ld trans which I hope to fix soon.

A 98 350 with only 17,000 miles, if that's accurate and the motor's complete sounds like a decent price to me, even though I don't think I'd pay that much for it personally

It's a chevy, its always nice to have a spare around because you know you'll need it.
