Odd electrical problem - bad ground??

Well, not much to go on but here goes. The 93 AWD Aero wouldn't start this morning EXCEPT when the door was open (twice). With the door closed, it wouldn't do anything (not even dash lights). After I come home to test it everything works fine, of course. I'm searching the wiring schematic in a Chilton's manual and coming up blank. I'm going to refill the low battery water and clean up the connections but does anyone else have a clue as to what might have happened? Is there a ground junction somewhere that might be loose?

Thanks,
Biederboat

Never mind....

Well, looks like it was a bad connection on the battery ground, must have been barely making contact but it looks all better now.

Thanks,

You try to change the line of ground that runs of the negative pole of the battery until the fire wall under the hood.
