2001 taurus se fuel mpg

Just wondering if anyone else has same problem we do. We have a 2001 taurus se that gets only 15 mpg maybe 17 or 18 on hwy it is the ffv version does this make any sense please help. Thanks

i would contact your dealer cause i got a 94 taurus SHO and i get around 24 on highway

Yeah that's pretty bad. My crown vic gets around 25 MPG on the highway and 18MPG in the city. My car is bigger and my motor is bigger.

Yes i have a truck 2000 f-150 4.2 that gets a peppy 4th gear scratch
also have 1980 chev 1/2 ton with a 1969 OLDS 455 rocket thats REAL PEPPY neck brace required to ride in.

jonoufan you get the same gas milage with your taurs as i do with my inline 6

id contact the dealer and ask them about it.

My '89 Taurus wagon was getting 26 MPG, from what I could see.

On a full tank starting from Norfolk, I would fill up twice on the way to Memphis (800 miles) at 10 gallons per stop...

And I'd have part of a tank left.

It has suddenly developed a bad miss, but after all it has more than 151,000 miles on it...
