trailer hitch wiring
I need to make the pin at the one o'clock position always on (12 v power all the time), is there an easy way or do I have to run a wire back to it?
I am talking about the multi pin female connector on the hitch

I think that you'd need to look at the wiring diagram for the truck and see where the selenoid is that enables the 12 V back to the connector. You could then add a switch to enable the selenoid with the truck turned off, or better yet, put it on a timer so that the trucks batteries don't get pulled down too far.
If you do run a 12 V wire direct to pin 4 on the 7-pin connnector, make sure you put a fuse in there to protect the truck against shorts in the trailer.
