94 B3000 shuts off without warning
My truck completely shuts off at any speed,no sputtering or sluggish feeling, just like someone turned the key. I wait 1-5 minutes and it starts up and runs like it never happened.
Shuts off within the first 15min of running. Other things running power like radio and lights don't budge. Does it in outside temperatures from 65 - 30 degrees so far.
Thanks to this board I did do a search and now have some ideas. Seems electrical to me ( starting system possibly), so far wasn't fuel pump relay. Trying coil next.
Seems like alot of guys blamed it on expensive items like fuel pump, etc and didn't do the trick. Would hate to spend money on replacing fuel sender and have same sympton. Thinking its more simple than that.

Welcome to FTE!!
The next time it happens, I'd determine if it does not run due to lack of fuel or lack of spark. Did you throw that old fuel pump relay away? If not, insert it in place of the current EEC relay. EEC relays are sometimes known to cause intermittent problems.

Ok I'll change the EEC and should be pulling codes today. This is such a freaky problem that I might not see another shut off for a week. I'm so curious to see what is the culprit is and driving in the slow lane on the highway stinks.
