Never had a problem with cows or horses but I did hit a deer last year in my old 1990 f-150 at about 40mph and all it did was break out my grille and that was with no grille guard that my friends is where the BUILT FORD TOUGH comes into play. Oh by the way any takers on the puppies?
HeyI checked out the ranch hand grille guards on the web and the closet dealer to me is Andover but I am still looking at about $600. And they do make one specifically(sp) for my truck that has the "punch out" grille that matches my honey comb grille exzactly(sp)!!!!!!!
Just get a RanchHand. The other grill gaurds (westin, manik, etc) will not help much, mainly cause more damage due to it actually hitting the hood, fenders, etc. I have seen a few trucks be smashed with the lighter gaurds on them. But on another note, one of my customers has hit 7 deer with his truck in 5 years with a RanchHand with NO damage at all. The company he works for has 10 Superduties and 3 Excursions and everyone one of them have RanchHands on them. It would pay for itself!!
