92 ford ranger 4x4 stx pushbutton need help
the 4x4 wont engage no lights on push button lights. servo motor isnt functioning, hubs are ok. chilton manuall tells me jack about my problem. in a bind need the 4 wheel dig for farming, also is there a manual way to engage it in case this happens in the feild?
any help is greatly appreciated.

sounds like the shift motor went. Try pulling it off and cleaning it out, be careful though, there is small parts in there if you pull the casing off the motor.
If you have to shift it, pull the motor off and grab it with a pair of vice-grips and turn it manually.
You should be able to get one in a junk yard for $25. Hope this helps.

Thanks, also ive heard people talk about a reset and i dont know were to find it , the chilton manual is junk in my opinion as far as the 4x4 is concerned. can you help me find the reset and does that help?
