I got the one without the nipple because I don't ever intend to hook up a hose to drain into a bottle. The oil will drain a tad faster too without the nipple according to Fumoto.
I'm not sure if Motorhaven sells them or not, but I'd check there first. Next stop would be Fumoto.
I got it with the nipple just so I could use a tube for draining into a container. Found the tube was more trouble than it was worth so don't use it. I got mine straight from Fumoto, but maybe Motorhaven will start stocking it since it is recommended and a good item. Ken?
I have 2 55 gal barrels for used oil and a friend that has one of those waste oil heaters. Not sure what you guys do in Texus or NM......Tim?
No wonder it was so dark when I was in Cleveland last month. Burning waste oil will probably be outlawed before long, if not already. Whats in the oil will come out the stack. Waste oil burners just SEEMED like less of a problem than dumping it.
I'm not a treehugger greenie--used to dump my old oil in the alley behind my house, thought it would magically become asphalt--oil pollutes badly and for a long time, I now take it to recycle shop.
In Texus, (don't know about NM) we just haul it in by the tanker load and dump it in Van Horn (Van Horn being the sandy mecca of West TX) alongside the solid waste traincars from NYC. And alongside the low-level uranium waste.
Thanks for exposing the our secret society code . I cannot believe that our members are so reckless and are so dedicated to help the unproven newbies (like me) .
I was looking forward to making my purchase and pay the FULL PRICE, but I had to check out if it was still working...... The devil made me do it .
That darn code saved me 15% or $3.89, which ends up being shipping + 0.89$.
What is this world coming to . Next thing you know we will be informing one another about sales and FTE member discount or other great buys. So Please do not share public information like:
1) the SVC6 codeat fumotovalve.com, which gets you a 15% discount
2) or that oilguard.com ships free of charge quality oil filter @ $11 per filter, if you buy a pack of 6.
3) or that you can get Stanadyne for $3.97 per pint, if you buy a case of 12 (which includes free shipping) at dieselpage.com/add1.htm
4) or that you can get top quality Husky mud flaps at anythingtrucks.com for $29 a set (free shipping)
5) or that you can get $100 discount on retrax cover at rolltopcover.com, if you talk to Joe Oliver (612) 802-4157, and mention that you saw the retrax on Ford-Diesel.Com website (search the dieselstop.com)
6) and finally that Ken at motorhaven.com is offering a $40 discount on the Superchip microtuner (code 1000) or $50 on the Predator (code 1050) and that he ships overnight FOR FREE. Not to mention that he will BEAT any advertised prices.
GWAAaaaaaaa!!!!! What is this world coming to??? Please stop the recklessness and keep the information private , off of a public forum.
Hope it helps!!!!! Please continue sharing with one another and make this forum THE FORUM to be in .
Dr. Pain...you are an evil doer of dastardly things and teller of dirty little secrets.
What are we gong to do about you? Hang him high! High from the tow mirrors of justice!
Oh elder of mine!!!!
Please accept my apologizes . My intentions were pur and simple. I wanted to let the newbies know the type of information that we, as a secret society, should keep private . I guess I should stay off the computer today, as the medication is loosening my lips. The urges to answer the previous post regarding the Chevron Delo 400 is great, but I will bow gracefully and let you handle it.
That's just not fair guys! If ya tell me, I'll keep the secret, just as well as everyone else here has on other topics. And if ya tell me, and ya have to, 'you know what', then you'd better come with friends. I'm most always packin, have a Dillon reloading press, and more ammunition than I know what to do with.
Wife said that Cosco carries Delo by the case of five gallons. (but she can't remember the price, I'll have to check)
I wonder if I go to my local fossil fuels distrbutor, if I can get it cheaper by the drum?
Just stopped by Oilguard today to pick up a 3 pack of filters for $33, or $11 each. One glance at them and you can tell that they are the OEM filters minus the box.
I could have ordered them in the appropriate quantity and let Oilguard pick up the shipping but since they are only a few miles away I thought I'd just stop by and save them a couple bucks.
