hello i was wondering what year they quit making the 400 motor.. am tryin to put one in a 1988 ford f250 and would like to put serpentine pulleys on it so i can use the stock power steering pump and alternator.. does anyone know which ones are interchangable for me to use?
You can use Windsor pulleys, but you need a reverse rotation water pump. That item was not made. The other alternative is an expensive March Aluminum Pulley set for the 351W with a double groove crank pulley. You will also have to relocate the alternator.
It will be easier to change the pulleys to v groove on your alternator and PS pump, or just get an alternator and PS pump with V groove pulleys.

82 was the last year for the 400. Do you have a set of 400 engine frame mounts for your swap into the 88?
i have a set of motor mounts out of a 79 ford f20 and that is all i have
I am pretty sure they won't work. You need 351M, 400, engine frame mounts from an 80, 81, 82 pickup truck or Bronco. These will fit the 80 to 96 frames.
