Verizon FiOS

I know those numbers can be MUCH higher, cause we had my step dads MAC tested when we got the FiOS and it was amazing, but I forget what the numbers were.
BIG FAT EDIT: My step dad was and still is doing a back up of the system while I did that test, so it slows everything way down. We have 3 computers that are all connected and he backs everything up at night cause they run the business out of the house. I will do it agian and repost the scores. I was expecting numbers like what nick had!

Beast12, I'm on the competition: Telus ADSL (regular), just became available in September. They advertise 1.5mb so I guess my results are pretty close. They also offer Ultra which is twice the speed (and twice the price). I don't think they offer a Lite version. We have no cable service in our area.
When I see what those American guys are getting, I'm SOOOO JEALOUS!!!

What kind of effect does the computer itself or the internal network in the house have, does anyone know? We run our DSL into my husband's Linux machine and then out to my Windows 2000 laptop through a router. My laptop is really old and shows only 65,076kb RAM.

Not the fastest, but shur not slow either. If all three computers on the network are working at the same time, would this slow things down?
