I have an Airaid and I love it! The sound under heavy acceleration is great, but its totaly quite under normal driving. I had a problem with the pouder coating peeling of a few of the metal pieces, but I called Airaid about it and they rushed me replacment pieces right away with no questions asked. I wouldn't recommend it if I didn't think it was a great product and worth the money. As far as the other intakes out there...I would asume they all are about the same and you should just descide which one you like better.

I Think i am going to Buy the True Flow Air Intake, becuase i really like the Factory FIlterBox, and can use the K&N drop in as well?

Basicly we just need more air.

Airaid installed about 12,000 miles ago and I really love it! Which is better???? Heck, everyone's got a different opinion on performance and they are all about the same price - kind of like truck's, we are all Ford guys, but there are some out there who like chevy's (???)

Good luck.

I have the K&N on my Lariat and it looks, sounds and performs great. I think they all pretty much are the same, it is just personal preference.

Well I went through an Airaid and an AEM unit before sticking with the K&N. The Airaid and AEM units produce too much noise and vibration for me. Send me a private message if you want specifics about the problems I had. Thanks JP

I installed the Volant intake kit with box on my 5.4L last week. The sound alone when you step on the gas is worth it. Sounds like I put a new exhaust on the truck.

But,
Volant thinks they sent me a recalled kit because my check engine light came on shortly after the install. I'm waiting for the new kit to arrive hoping that it is not the same. I paid $236 for the kit.

What color is everyones filters? Are they exposed where they are seen when opening the hood? I liked the AFE I had for my V10. It had a cool looking blue filter. And I would like to get a blue filter for my new blue truck as well if it is exposed. Otherwise I may just get a K&N stock replacement. Also what did everyone pay for their intake? Wandering how much it's gonna cost me.

i have the Airaid JR on my 5.4. it keeps the old intake box but replaces the intake tube to a more free-flowing one and they also give you a nice filter. not much difference in sound but performance is worth the 130$. also looks pretty cool.

I went with the AEM Brute Force. I love the look, sound and performance. With the Magnaflow SS exhaust, it is awsome. A little loud at the beginning but it sure has quieted down once the computer adusted.
