It is a joyous (but expensive) day. The Expy is at the shop right now getting rid of the crappy stock continentals. We put up with them for 10k miles and can't stand any more. I even purposely let the alignment go and did not rotate to wear them out faster. LOL.
In their place will be the AT REVO's. Tires plus has a deal buy 3 get one free which is pretty sweet. Oh yes and of course an alignment (lifetime for $99).
I think this will solve the slight wobble at highway speeds that I have had for the last 10k miles also.
How quite are the Revo's? Been looking into them myself (at 14K miles now) since I can't keep the dang things balanced...I want to replace them with something that is going to be quite, but has halfway decent tread since I am always at some out-of-the-way boat ramp and don't want to be stuck not being able to get the boat out....The Revo's look like the ticket if they are close to the same noise level as these crappy continentals...

Well I've only driven on them for 50 miles and so far they are way better than the Conti's. The noise level is much reduced and ride quality is excellent. I did notice that the bumps seem to be a bit more noticable than before but it is not something that I am concerned about. Nice and smooth on the highway. Steering is nice and solid.
They have a 30 day ride guarantee so I can try them for 30 days and then if I have any issues get rid of them.
I switched from Michelin Cross Terrains to Revos about 18,000 miles ago. Compared to the ultra plush and (ultra $$$) Cross Terrains, the Revos are a bit stiffer, but offer surprisingly little additional noise. They have offered me better snow performance than the Michelin and MUCH better wear. If snow performance is not a big issue, and you like the idea of buying a Michelin tire, I would look at the LTX M/S tire. Less aggressive thread than the Revo, but offers good wear, handling and ride. IMO, a better all-around tire and value than the Cross Terrain.
PaulC, how many miles did you get from your Crap-Terrains? I got 19,000 before I hit the wear bars. To say I was disappointed in the wear is an understatement. Also, I was scared to drive these things in the snow. I bought another set of wheels and mounted snow tires for this time of year. I also replaced the Crap-Terrains with AT Revo's and so far, so good. I may just leave them on when it starts snowing just to see how they handle.
I put revos on at about 200 miles and so far at 7200 miles they have done a great job. The ride is smooth and the noise is very minimal. I really like the revos and will not hesitate to get new ones when this set wears out.
