feedback to non-feed back

I have a 84 f150 6cyl.with a feed back type carburetor and due to the poor running condition cause by this type of carb. I would like to put a non feed back type from a earlier model . Once I have remove the feed back carb. which has a t.p.s sensor and there will be no more use for the map sensor . How do I control the timing? I know someone out there has done this same conversion and your imput would be appreciated.

you have to remove every wire under the hood, except the alt wires. then install a new carb and a dura spark 2 dizzy and module and wire harness. its an easy swap and you cut the bundle of 30 wires down to 1, which powers the module.

I wonder if I can fit a t.p.s. sensor on to the older carb . , I think thats how the ecm is controling the timing? any thoughts? If not I guess I will go the route of dura spark 2 . Did you use the engine harness out of a older truck or did you need the complete harness ?

the harness has 3 or 4 wires that goes between the dizzy and the module. i got mine at the junkyard. i cut the whole original harness out except for 1 wire that powers the module.
