I need some info
I need to know a few things about the dana 60 ,1993 f-350 4x4
1. how tight on 3rd member bearing bolts?
2. how do you get the needle bearing out of the hub?
3. how tight on the spindle lock nut?
4. is it possible to get the ball joints out with a big hammer?
seriously i have my axle tore down and need to replace a few parts and I do not have any torque numbers .
Now for all of you that need to replace the axle seals on a front dana 60 it is not that hard to get them out. but you will need a 2 1/2 4x4 spindle socket. mine cost 20 bucks at a parts house. i think bumper to bumper should have them. I had to use cheater pipe and a breaker bar to get them loose, i used a piece of chainlink post pipe to slide threw the axle tube to knock the seal out. I have not reinstalled the new ones yet, still have to do some cleaning.
