what lifts are you talking about? I wouldn't do a body lift but thats just me. a 4" suspension lift from skyjacker or another reputable company and trim what rubs. ebay has some pretty good deals but you just have to shop smart.
I agree with 95 here body lifts are not a good investment there are reasons for them but I doubt you have one of those reasons, so use a suspension lift the thing on ebay is stay away from no name parts, you never know what yer gonna git. So if you are looking at lifts on ebay first thing is look at the sellers rep. if it is good high number with good percentage of positive (I wouldn't worry about someone with say 1100 number that has a 98 percent positive you will always have some disgruntled person but read what people have to say) next look at the listing if they list hte parts as bieng a name you easily recognize such as skyjacker or trailmaster etc then look at the price and don't forget to look at the shipping as some of them can really get you on handling charges.
This is kind of a vague silly question. That's like saying "Is it a good idea to buy a car off of ebay?" If it's a POS don't buy it. You have to check the details. I bought a set of Skyjacker front leafs for a decent price on ebay, brand new. Just do your research and make sure you check shipping prices ahead of time. Oh, and if someone is offering assorted lumber as a body lift DON'T BUY!
If you find an auction you're interested in but not sure about, post the auction number to this thread and we can check it out for you.
Well my thing is i dont use the auction part i just look for the buy it now. And alot of guys will get loads of one product and sell them on there using the buy it now the one i see most on there is the Rough Country. Im not looking to go sling mud this truck only moves about 5-10 miles a week more when snow comes. I just dont want some junk that is going to break just driving down a smooth road.
Rough Country is okay. Skyjacker is optimal for a smooth ride but it will cost you a little more. There's nothing too fancy to the body lift kits but try to find one that also includes bumper brackets to save you the hassle of building your own.
1. Make absolutely, positively sure which lift kit it is that you want.
2. Do a Goggle search for "Auction Sniper". Locate and download it (free).
3. Auction Sniper will give you a few (3?) free "Snipings".
4. Set up a "hit" on your desired lift kit.
5. Sit back & relax.
Auction Sniper is a program/service which uses an automated last-second "sniping" technique at eBay auctions to get you what you want at the lowest price possible. I'm not a tech guy, but a full explanation is available on the Auction Sniper site. I can tell you (from personal experience) that the program works well, and so far, I have had only good experiences when using it. It does have limitations though, and if you'd prefer to look for low prices on "Buy It Now" stuff, you'll do better on that stuff by doing "manual" searching.
