You need to help us a bit as to what you are looking for. Do you want the widest tires that will fit in the wheel well? Are you looking for a real tall tire?
I'm running 15x8s all around. If I had it to do again I would run 7" wide up front. 8" is a little much. I have a Volare up front and a 68 F100 9 inch in the rear so my backspacing stats won't help you. The safest way to go is to install a rim on your truck. It doesn't have to be the style or size you want to run. The math is pretty simple once you have a starting point. Put some measurements up on the forum and we can help you modify.
I think you'll find 7" wide fit easily on both ends, and most of us can run 8s. But measure by all means. If you take the time to calculate backset, you can obviously run the fattest tires possible. 255s can fit easy. My backset was off some in back so I can't fit a 275 since I'm running pretty low.
