Couple Questions

1. Just had My flowmaster installed, is weird smell normal off the bat, part of something burning off during break in or from fresh weld's?
2.Does pipe actually perform a little different after break in as does pipe get a little louder than too?
Thanks

From what i remember from reading here in the past the 70's series is not much louder than stock as for the smell should be normal

I had a flowmaster 3 chamber put on my last truck-a gmc-It did have a "new" smell for about a week or so when it got warmed up. Then it went away. As for sound, I did not notice any change from the day it was new til I sold the truck two years later. It sounded great the entire time.
I'll be replacing my stock system with a flowmaster cat back on the F250 before spring. Good choice!

Had 2 flowmaster 70 series put on my wifes tahoe and they smelled for a while. They are definately louder and more resonate than the stock pipes but that is what she wanted. She cannot stand the pffffffft sound of a stock exhaust! Also, don't let them fool you they do rust out after a couple of years even though they claim different.
