Alright, so me and my buddy are trying to plan something for a good friend of ours. When we get together, it's either happy hour at Roosevelt's in Philly, or something completely different. (i.e. Mardi Gras in New Orleans on 3 days notice)
We recently tossed around the idea of going shooting. None of us have a gun, and I'm pretty sure none of us ever shot one. We have all expressed an interest of going at least once. My question is...is there any place in the PA, NJ, DE area that we can do this, and do it right? Ideally, we want the lessons obviously, a place that would have to rent and someplace that is respected. I just read something about a place out in Nevada where they teach you the whole nine yards...shooting, aiming, 2 taps, cleaning, disassembling and troubleshooting. That is ideal except for the Nevada part.
Anybody have any ideas on this, or maybe a unique birthday idea should this not work out?
Thunder Mountain in Ringwood NJ. They are a shotgun range but also may do rifle. You can find them online athttp://www.claytargetsonline.com/club.php/1215
Hope that helps with your shooting idea (even though you said you didn't want to.) You really should though, it's a lot of fun.
