BW 13-56 Problem
In my 1988 F150 302, AOD with the BW 13-56 TC I noticed that I have some play in the TC when the truck is in park and I disconnect the driveshaft from the rear pinion. Does this mean that the pump has gone out, planetary on it way out? Just need some insight on what to expect from this. I have been looking for a 13-56 manual shift but have had little luck in the area. How hard would it be to swap in a 13-45? Those I can find around here pretty easy. Also the truck has just over 100k on it. Thanks guys!

There will be a fair amount of free rotational play in your transfer case. As long as it work OK, I'd leave it alone. The pump operates when the output shaft turns and play in the output shaft does not mean anything is wrong with the pump.
