88 Bronco
I have an 88 Bronco Fullsize and the front end makes a bumping sound when going over bumps. I replaced the shocks, sway bar bushings, and the radius arm bushings thinking that might be the problem, but it didn't fix it. I notice when I pick it up on a lift and let it back down the noise goes away for a while but always returns. But no matter what I do I just can't seem to find the problem. Any help would be useful.

I know it isn't a sedan, but this isn't a normal noise. Lets say if you had a bad wheel bearing and went over a bump real har you hear what sounds like metal rubbing against metal. well that is about what it sounds like, but on the Bronco it isn't the bearings. Was thinking it might be the coil spring isolators causing the sound, cause they look alittle worn and badly cracked.

Well tried moving the tire up and down didn't move. Plus the teacher at the college I am attending also said is wasn't the bearings. Got around to working on it today and found out my pinion was loose and the seal was leaking, plus the last person who worked on it didn't tighten the u-joint nuts all the way. So after I replace them I will see if the did the trick (but knowing my luck probably not). Thanks for your help guys.
