MAF conv. Tech Artical
I know that this topic has been broght up, and up, and up ect...ect............
But some of the people on here that have done this conv. should make up some tech articles, that way the people who want to do this, like me
, will have step by step directions to help us along the way
The article should have two versions on it, the FMS MAS conv. and the "Junkyard Conv". IT should also included all part numbers, whats needed(downto a 2 cent peaces that are needed), and what parts are compatible from other modles and years. Also the costs, and if anyone has the directions from the FMS verson, upload them for the rest of us. Pesonaly, i rather find the "junkyard(e-bay)" parts and take the time to make mine own, then put out 6-900 bucks( Kinda broke, and dont like to spend big $$ if there is a cheaper way)
Also, items like recalibrating the MAS(how the heck do u do that) should be explanied and brought up in the artice. What situations people had when they did theres and what they had to tune to get it right.
Anyone who can come to the anwser of this would be a great. It would save a hole lot of serching for those who want to do it(me) and save people from repatily asking the question!!!

Search my user name and see if you can find my old post about my swap. I know it's not a tech article, but it was pretty detailed and might help you figure some things out. You can't calibrate the MAF sensor yourself - you have to send it off to somewhere like Pro-M racing, and they will recalibrate it for your application for about $100. I assume you've seen Bjorn's website? It is about as detailed as they come - http://brembs.net/cars/maf_conversion/ . I'm pretty sure someone has posted here about the kit (it's very very simple and straightforward swap) so maybe take a look around for that as well as looking for my old post (search my name for MAF and it should come up). As far as a tech article, that might be a little more difficult since there is more than one way to skin this cat.
