Alright, call me lazy and pathetic, but I figure quite a few of you have done this before so I can sit back and have you do my work for me. I'm putting in gauges and I need trigger wires for my relays. I need one ignition hot and one that's hot when you turn your lights on. Any wire that's under the dash is fair game as far as I'm concerned, so let me know which ones you tapped into. Thanks in advance.
I just finished a gauge install. There were at least 3 ignition hot wires coming out of the steeering column on my 04. One was red with a black stripe, another was gray with a yellow stripe. The third was a smaller yellow with a white stripe, that's the one I used, don't know what it goes to. The gray with yellow goes to the heater.
For your gauge lights, trace the light blue wire with a red stripe down from the panel light dimmer next to the light switch. If you hook into this one, your gauge lights will dim the same as your instrument panel lights.
Haha, your post caught me about 10 seconds before I was going to go to bed, so naturally I had to go hook the gauges up. Thanks for the wire colors, saved me some hunting. Now if only my longer boost gauge tubing would get here....

Just go to your local autoparts store and get some vac hose. It is a whole lot easier to route. I usually only use about three inches of the "hard" tube just to connect the guage and the sender. I have done this will all my blower/nitrous and turbo car throughout the years with no problems.
