Mirror Replacement

I have a 2000 X with the smaller paddle type mirrors. Can any advise if the larger telescoping mirrors are a direct replacement with no alterations?

Yes, they are. Make SURE you order 2002 or newer TTT (telescoping trailer tow) mirrors, and if you want the blinkers in the mirrors, order those but you will have to run the blinker wires. The power connectors are different from 2000 to 2002 for electric heated mirrors, but the ones I ordered came with wiring adapters in the box. The major difference between 2000 and 2002 is that the 2000 and 2001 mirrors do not fold forward, only rearward. It will cause major damage if you snag an old one backing up. They have stopped making the older style mirrors but if you're not careful you may get one. You will also have to remove the door panel to get to the electrical connectors, but if you're on this forum, you should be able to do that.
