2003 Expedition cat back suggestions

I just bought a 03 exp. and I noticed Flowmaster does'nt make a catback for this year. I'm going for that deep sound. Any suggestions??

Yeah, just swap the muffler.

It'll save you a bundle.

That is what I did. I swaped out the stock muffler with a Flowmaster 70 series. That gave the sound that I was looking for.

I went with the Big Block II 70 series muffler part number 52573, the inlet & outlet is 2.50 dia. and are offset. Go to flowmasters site ( www.flowmastermufflers.com ). They have sound samples of all of thier mufflers and interior and exterior tone levels compared to OE levels. They also have the demensions of the mufflers, the 70 series was almost the exact same size as the OE muffler, it fit perfect.

Hi,

Have you noticed a gain in fuel milage? Also how much of a performance gain do you think you have gained? I would assume that the 04 would be the same as the 03?

To tell you the truth I don't feel a difference. That is the only performance upgrade that I have done to mine.(More to come at a later time.) I'm sure I gained milage and HP but not enough to notice.
