good luck let us know what happens. another thing i thought of, if you get a chance you may want to take it by an "autozone" or "checkers auto parts" and have them scan it to see if there are any codes stored, that may give you a better idea what is going on
one question on if a code is stored, would it show a light ''check engine soon'' or
''service engine soon'' before it would throw a code? I have thought about taking
it in, but ya know how time just runs away from you, hehe. Thanks

There are a few codes that won't trigger the SES or CEL, but most everything that would affect power and driveability will trigger the light.
hmm, I've never seen either light come on, ever. But that doesnt mean a code isn't
stored?
With the 60HP Diablo Predator setting I'll run that SES light every time going up a steep hill or pulling boat etc. So I run 40Hp and seldom get the "light" now. I wonder at what boost setting that SES light comes on??? Anyone with some better knowledge???

over 24 psi the map sensor will start to defuel the engine and activate the ses light. if you put a boost releife valve in the map line it will take care of that

when my cam sensor went out it did not light the ses nor did it come on when my EBPV sensor went out, and both have alot to do with the driveability of the truck?

I agree never got a SES light for my CPS when it went out. Didn't get a SES light for the wastegate malfunction code that was stored when I disconnected my wastegate either. Both greatly effect the performance of the truck.
When the EBP sensor fails, the PCM simply disables the exhaust backpressure system with the valve in the open position, no effect on normal operation, other than cold weather idle.
Similar situation with the wastegate control system. When it fails the wastegate just will not open, which as we all know will improve the engines performance.
Not sure why the cam sensor often fails to trigger the SES, it should. Maybe there just isn't enough time from the signal loss to the engine dying to trip the light.
well I unhooked my ebpv yesterday, seems to drive easier. But since im going to sell
her before to long, i'm probably not gonna get the pcm scanned, even tho it should
be done, lol.
