factory v8?
Has there been any more talk about a production v8 ranger? 4.6 or 5.0 i've read ford still has a ton of 5.0's sitting around. this would be a great selling truck and only enhance the ranger series, i know i would buy one.

I sent an E-mail to Ford awhile back(february) asking why they don't offer a V-8(5.0L) in the Ranger and got a responce back from the Regional Manager from the Ranger Division, he said " there is not enough of a market for that type of configuration, that's one of the reasons why they boosted the HP in the Ranger from 160 to 207 in the year 2001". He also told me to "keep my eye out in the near future for a special option package that alot of the V-8 lovers will like". He didn't say anything about what the special option package might be so I don't know if it has to do with a V-8 or not but prob. somthing similer to the Dakota R/T. Maybe a supercharger option or limited number of Ranger's with the V-8. So sounds like there planning somthing.
I guess we'll have to wait and see!
