Yesterday I talked to a person who had the
same problem with black or grey knuckle rubbers
on the door handles of his brand new Nisson.
He had tried to wax them and they ended up a
crummy white-gray. The same thing happened to
the window to hood trim piece. I looked at his deal
but was stumped. Maybe there is some detail
person out there who can tell us what is going on?
Its my guess that some of the wax additives in
some products are having an irreversible chemical
effect with the surface of some of these "plastics".

Mothers makes a product that will remove the white or gray wax from the trim areas. Can't remember the name right now but it is a Mothers product and it works pretty well.
