fact or myth

on a 300 one barrel with cold intake K&N filter and if i was to put the efi manifolds it would run lean? is this a fact or myth?

Feedback carb? If so, it should compensate, methinks. Non-feedback? You might increase the airflow to the point of making a lean spot. It's not mythology, and you need to evaluate the facts after the install.

Every engine will react to a modification differently. On some engines the EFI manifolds might actually increase airflow, on others they might only reduce pumping losses. Reducing pumping losses won't make it lean, increasing airflow may or may not.

I didn't have any problems. I did my '86 300 in stages and I started with the exhaust because of the Computer control of dizzy and carb. It was more work; but, I could do it as I could affort the new parts.

Uh! You may have a problem with no intake manifold heat - you may want to "rig" up a box around the front efi manifold to attach your carb by-pass air heater.

im thinking about doing that but the problem is that i would have to get a y pipe and 2.5 inch pipe and a maybe a chery bomb turbo would sound nice in my setup?
