Finished mirror installation.
Quite easy, the door panel is a breeze, can't believe nothing broke, and it even went back fairly easy without any problems, the only spare parts are the broken mirror, go figure.
I had the same thing happen to me, some jerk was speeding and clipped my mirror on my van. It was the regular mirror, not the telescoping mirror, and the dealer quoted me a price of 205 dollars for a replacement. I bought an after market mirror for half of that but the quality was not as good, the glass shook and you could not see out of it. The insurance companies each said it was the other guy's fault and would not pay for it. After the hassel and getting upset at the a-hole who broke it, I think next time that I won't even stop, just buy a new mirror and forget about it.
between breaking the mirror and the window getting damaged, it's worth it for me going thru insurance. The total damage is $1100.00.
Drivers side window got scratched because i rolled down the window, and mirror fragments damaeged it

My insurance is covering everything minus $500 deductable, then they will go after the other guys' insurance, i can live with a couple scratches on window, they are very minimal, so for now i wont replace the glass
