Sound Clips?

Sound Clips?
Anyone have any sound clips of their V10 with aftermarket exhaust? I have never heard one before and would like to have some idea of what I'm getting into before going to drop some $ at the muffler shop. I've been told by a reputable shop in town that the V10's can wind up sounding like a V6 if you're not careful about what you do to them.

Go to exhaustsoundclips.com, click on Ford and there are two V10 clips. A Flowmaster 40 and something else, I forget. I have the same exact set up as the Flowmaster 40 on there. I think it sounds great. Not quiet as deep as a V8, but definitely NOT ricer or V6 sounding. I've gotten several compliments on it.

Thanks for the info....that sounds pretty good. Did you do anything with the y-pipe that goes into the factory muffler? Is your setup a single in, dual out? What diameter pipe did you use?

No difference in low end, throttle response, or MPG. Seems to hold fifth gear a little better when towing - I have a 5-speed manual. Sound inside the truck is not bad - you know it's there but it's not overwhelming. Not noticeable at all to me at highway speeds. It can drone a little in the 1400-1600 RPM range.
