Chapter Meetings

The Illinois Chapter has been a reality since September of 2004.

We have had an increase of activity in the chapter threads.

We have moved our meetings to make attending meetings more accessable to more interested parties.

We have had many express interest in attending meetings, though some have not been able to attend.

Are there any core issues or matters YOU would like the Illinois Chapter to address?

Our December meeting will be in the general Kankakee area.

We plan to have a meeting in Gilman early in 2005.

What items or suggestions do YOU have for the Illinois Chapter Officers?

Thanks, Fastronald - Illinois Chapter Leader

My preference is a very loose knit , no officers , friendly group .. I shy away from "true" clubs ...seems like us adults act like kids when a lil bit of power is available and a big fight ensues ...

dPrasse01,
Not this little group that we've put together so far. We are very informal and have a bit of fun during the meetings. Not to mention getting to look at and admire each others rides. I encourage you to come just once and see for yourself that we are a far more relaxed bunch than you think.

Wow,it's been a LONG time since I've been on the FTE site. Didn't know there was an Illinois chapter 'till today. I think I'm going to start checking in a lot more often.

Ron ,

might FTE "business cards " be available ?
I'll be on the road alot and I always admire the trucks along the way ... a "personalized" card with our name and the net info for the site would be handy to hand out ....

Hand out sheets

I received approval from the site for our information/interest sheet. This sheet has basic information, the web site address and such, including a line for the chapter member to leave their name on. This is what we discussed and got approval for. As far as business cards goes, we could bring it up at a meeting and see what happens. This maybe an individual thing to have business cards printed until such time as the chapter charges dues and establishes itself as a non - profit group. That paper work is a total nightmare.

I think we should have meetings closer to central IL. Not just revolve around Chicago area. It would be better for southerners and only two hours for chicago goers.

Meeting Locations

As the Chapter grows......... we will move chapter meetings to reflect where those members are.
We will have a meeting in Gilman ( exit 283 off I - 57 ) hopefully in March.

Without members becoming active on the site and in the chapter we can not gage where a meeting should be held.

Read the threads from each of the chapter meetings and you'll see we intend to accomodate as many members as is possible.
