Where is the number located?
How many bolts holding down the valve covers? That's one way to get a good idea what engine family it is for a Ford.
5 bolts and you've got an FE. Identifiying the actual displacemnet is a bit more challenging.

The cast-in code (from the intake manifold? missing one digit) looks to be a '67 truck motor. But you probably already knew that anyway.
If the coil sits on top of the intake manifold near the distributor, there may be a tag under it that will tell more.
The door tag from the cab will also spell it out - I'm not sure how the truck VIN decode works, but the car engine letter was the 5th digit in the VIN number.

hi again just took the heads off that motor numbers on the rod s are, c 7 t e a on one side , a60 j ,on the second slided, head casting number s are , c7te-c im thinking a 361 fe ? hope you had a good xmas
