I saw a link at one point that gave the engine block colors for various models and years. Can anybody provide me with it or tell me the colors used on a 292 for 1962? Thanks.
I am a new member here, not too long ago we dismantled a nice original '62 F=250 which had been wrecked and stored in a barn for 30 years. That engine was a sort of maize yellow with argent finish valve covers, and black air cleaner. Ford had numerous combinations in the fifties and sixties and changed often.
Thanks!
I hope this helps. I stumbled across this site http://dcregistry.com/users/jays/OrgEngPaints.html while looking for valve covers. I assume his information is correct. The valve covers he sell look like very high quality, for nearly $200 they out to be!
Take what's listed on the engine paint website as general at best. I bought a '65 F250 in 1977 from the original owner with just 57K on the odom. The engine is a 352 and was and is painted ford bronze. Yes, I still have it but with 300K now. I'm guessing that the gold that they advertise is close to that. Anyway, some of their info is correct. And how about the early mustangs with the black blocks? Black is not even listed. Lazy
