I have a 89 f350 dually crewcab with the 460 and i have a problem. i was returning home from work and my truck just died. i pulled the cap to find the rotor not turning. i have since found the end of the distributer shattered. the oil pump is fine as i pulled it today. what can cause the shaft to shatter where it goes in the block. the block has some blueing where the shaft rides. when it siezed it broke the gear on the end. this motor was rebuilt in april/ may. any insight is appreciated.
