Terry,
the 48-52 style is different than the 53-56. Your pic looks nothing like the orignal 53-56 style. Also I checked part numbers and they are different.

Years ago I installed a toyota pickup spare tire holder in a 68 Dodge truck. It was real nice because you could lay the spare on the ground drop the piece that goes through the center hole in it, and crank it up into place. You didn't have to get under the truck to remove or replace it. As soon as I get my 51 finished I will be installing that type unit in it.

Kevin, thank you for looking up the different part numbers for the 48-52 and the 53-56 models. I haven't seen these bolts in a catalogue. Todd said the bolt from my '52 looked like his from a '53. I wonder what the differences are? ...Terry

Has anyone used the crank-down spare tire holder from a late Ford pickup or van? Thinking of using one of these on my 60.
