clutch problem please help
Hello I hope someone can help me. Last year about 10,000 miles ago I replaced my clutch plate,pressure plate,throw out bearing,slave cylinder,pilot bushing,and the hose from master cylinder to slave cylinder. I also had my flywheel resurfaced. This is on a 92 ford explorer 4.0L 4x4. It has a mazda transmission 5 speed in it. Yesterday I was driving and after i pushed the clutch pedal it started with a little rattling that went away now sometimes I have difficulty in engaging gears and has a whining noise wich i liminated it to the throw out bearing. when the cluch pedal is out I hear the noise when I push the clutch pedal down about an inch the noise stops. This tells me that it is the throw out bearing. However can a throw out bearing being bad cause difficulty in shifting gears sometimes. When i was under the truck I noticed that the garage had left the rubber cover off the side of the transmission. Am I just looking at a throw out bearing or can dirt contaminate something else that i need to look at. Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.
