performance chips

Does anyone know if GorillaChipz Horsepower Enhancer performance chips work or don't work on the IAT temperature sending units or should I just forget it

Its's one of those on e-bay, right? Waste of time and money. It just tricks the computer into running rich, which wastes gas.

Right , Thanks , So what should I be doing to increase hp, and response on a 4.2 ??

Replace it with a 5.4............

Look into a cold air intake and new exhaust. Make sure all the maintainace is up to date, a dirty filters can make a big difference.

The 4.2 wouldn't be bad if you could fit two of them under the hood. Decent car motor but undersized for a working truck. I gotta agree with triton's post above (that's twice tonight that I've agreed with him!).

I had a single cab F150 with the 4.2 and a 5 speed. Fun truck, but the auto is just doesn't cut it. But then again, I like to bark the tires at every take off.
