1987 b2 4x4 a4ldi keep hearing squeaks like a rubber duck in the front i think it might be the coil springs or shocks a friend of mine told me it's the steering linkage and also the bushings etc.. i check under my truck and found two body mounts almost gone worn out i was just thinking of buying james duff suspension body mounts and bushings for the suspension i think i should change them out
I installed Duff's polyurethane bushings front and back on my BII because the old, rubber ones looked a bit worse for wear. The polyU bushings are supposed to have a higher propensity for squeaking than the rubber bushings, but I haven't noticed any.
Other potentially squeaky places are the Ball joints and tie rod end joints if the rubber is split and they're dry.
I had a similar problem with my B2 and i found it to be the control arms or radius arms not sure what they are called, i picked up a replacement kit at auto zone for like 8 bucks a side. It helped alot, gl!
Do the polyurethane bushings help with your ride? I've never heard anybody say, I see their commercials and they say something like 200% better ride.. jw what you're thoughts are on that.

Does this happen only when the suspenion is moveing or when the truck is setting still. If it does it with the truck setting still, check your engine mounts.to see if the enging is moving look and see if the fan is hitting the fan shrould.{Spelling}If it does it with the suspension moving check ALL your front end parts for ware or breakage.

It's really hard to say. Maybe it's a tad stiffer and, therefore, a little harsher. I wouldn't call it an improvement. To my mind the biggest advantage of the polyurethane bushing is their ease of installation vis-a-vis pressing in rubber bushings.
I do wish you'd turn off that stroboscopic image. Am I alone, or does it drive everyone else nuts too?
The one that are bad!!{sorry had to say it}Just check them all ,Look.feel,shake.If it does not look right or feel right, then its probaley bad .The parts on the front end are hard to say if there bad with out seeing them in person. If your not sure about what to look for take to a shop and have it checked.
If you are going to change to the poly parts I would change them all.Just buy the complet kit to do the swap And plan to be with out your b2 for a day or two.And some cut knuckles and a few choice well placed cuss words!!
