battery cables

I went to the parts store to get new cables ,and found that they don't make a replacement cable for my year/ motor. Does anyone know of a place that makes replacement cables ? I have used replacement ends but they don't last. Thanks

Don't use those bolt on type battery clamps. If you can't find the cable you need, go buy a little propane torch and some solder and build your own. I've been building Demo derby cars for years and it's pretty simple. Just get the ends you need, clamp the end in a vise and stuff the cable in there and start melting solder in there. It's a lot better connection than you get with those clamp on types.

Take your old one out and measure the length. Then just go to the peg boards and match it up. A little longer is always better. Igor is right about make your own if it's from the solinoid to the starter. Lots less trouble that way.

The dealer should have them, but they will be a bit more expensive.
