Tachometer modification help needed

This is a pic of the back of the tach from a '88 Bronco II, 6 Cyl. I'd like to use it in my 4 Cyl. Ranger, but am told that it will read incorrectly. Anybody got ideas on what value resistor to replace the one at the back of the tach with?

Tachometer modification help needed
If you want to replace the resistor replace it with a resistor with the same bands. The band color and order are how you read the the resistor value.
Don't recall the color code off hand, go to radio shack they should have a electronic hand book which should cover how to read resistors.
