pretty basic, take window motor out (3 bolts) take flat head screw driver, pop gear off, scrap out old fittings, put new nylon fittings in(found on ebay for 5.95 each or 9.95 for both plus 1.75 for shipping)
put window motor back in, I pu tin two bolts cause the left bolt is a pain in the *** to get too. it's secure and it'll take me less time to pop the motor out if I even have to do this again.
Thanks for posting about these! I "think" this is all I need to do for my pass. door. Before you took the cover off, were you able to hear the motor running, but just not lifting the window?

Correct, I could hear is spinning, but no window movement at all.
So, i did some research and found these nylon fittings, which I guess are a common problem of aging window motors, I guess I should have did a step by step.
I've got a '89...When I see these nylon parts listed on ebay, they don't include '89. I had to buy a new part (I think it was the whole housing, not the motor though) for the drivers window. I now have to do this for the passenger window and I wonder if I should try the $5.9 fix!?

If ou can put a window morotor from any other yea in your truck, then ths fix will probably work.
