D60 spring mount

I am putting the leaf springs on my front D60. The drivers side seems to be a problem. the outer U-bolt fits fine but there is not enough room for the inner U-bolt. the webbing for the pumkin is in the way. How do I bolt down the inner side of the spring plate?
This axle came out of a 94 F350 with leaf springs. It has a spring pearch cast/machined on the pumkin. I just don't see how you would bolt it down with the webbing under the axle.

on the fords the webbing has a hole in it to allow the u-bolt to pass through it,

on some chevys and dodges there are studs that thread into the housing then the spring plate oes over them,

I can see how this might look like a problem. Just eyeball it and you'll see how she'll bolt up.

I felt all over it. No hole or stud locations. Just plug welds. I will post a pic tomorrow if you need to see what I am talking about.
Thanks.

could this be similiar to the older D60 fronts that had special a bracket that wrapped around the bottom side of the tube and had a notch to go around the webbing on the housing

Are you mounting U-bolts up (nuts on top of the axle) or U-bolts down (nuts under the axle)? Stock they were down and the mounting plate had a special notch in it to accomodate the webbing in the pumkpin. If you flip the U-bolts upside down you'll probably have to notch the webbing to make it fit and stay put.

that's exactly what it is....i have one on my 95 PSD and my white truck! it is just a modified u-bolt plate that snugs around the webbing as was stated!

BTW....the u-bolts have to point down (the open end down)

I don't like the idea of the bolts and nuts sticking down. My wife likes to drive like I read. By Braille.
Has anyone here notched the webbing? Just enough to keep it in place right?
the lower plate/track bar bracket on the passenger side is coming off for the same reason. I don't want to be getting cauht on it.
Thanks.

Notching the webbing wouldn't be tough to do and I really don't think it would hurt to drill a hole in it either and then run the U-bolt through. The U-bolts on my rear axle are flipped but I haven't turned the front around yet. The bolts are not really hanging down much at all so I'm not in a big rush to get it done. Eventually though . . .

Well, I have the hardware to attach them bolts up. I have to find the hardware to do it the stock way. So I guess I will be drilling the webbing.

I have notched my webing in the front and rear HP D60. You don't have to notch a whole lot to get the u-bolt to fit. If I have time I'll take a picture and post if I can figure how to
