Do you guys remember the Fall Guy w/Lee Majors??? My girlfriend was burning a CD for me, and I told her I wanted the theme song on it and she didnt have a clue what the Fall Guy was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldnt believe it. I'm 21, so I was young when it was on, and then I watched it on reruns, after it got cancelled, growing up. I wanted to be Colt when I grew up. Even though he drove a Chevy, I loved that show!!!! What do you guys think?
i have to admit; i liked that truck too. but we were kids, what did we know?
i havent seen that show in reruns in a long time. i was quite a fan though. wanted to be a stuntman till i found out how much it really hurt!!!
Its not that I "liked" the truck so much, but I didnt dislike it if you know what I mean. It was cool thats for sure, but heck thats when Chevy still made a decent truck. I've been checking to see if its on reruns anywhere and I cant find anything. I saw something theres rumors of a movie starring George Clooney as Colt(dont know what I think about that).
The Fall Guy was great. And of course, I was at an age where I appreciated Heather Locklear (or was it Heather Thomas, anyway, Heather) as well. I had the toys of course. My favorite being the bi-plane. It had foot pegs on the wing, so you could make the action figures "wing-walk". And you squeezed a trigger to make the prop spin. Curse you Mother, for throwing away the fortune I could have today!
Well, I'm not the kind to kiss and tell,
But I've been seen with Farrah.
I'm never seen with anything less than a nine, so fine.
I've been on fire with Sally Field,
Gone fast with a girl named Bo,
But somehow they just don't end up as mine.
It's a death defyin' life I lead,
I take my chances.
I die for a livin' in the movies and TV.
But the hardest thing I ever do,
Is watch my leadin' ladies,
Kiss some other guy while I'm bandagin' my knee.
I might fall from a tall building,
I might roll a brand new car.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman that made Redford such a star.
I never spent much time in school,
But I taught ladies plenty.
It's true I hire my body out for pay, Hey Hey.
I've gotten burned over Cheryl Tiegs,
Blown up for Raquel Welch.
But when I end up in the hay it's only hay, Hey Hey.
I might jump an open drawbridge,
Or Tarzan from a vine.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman that makes Eastwood look so fine.
psu you got it!!!!!!!!!! Dang it talking about it gets me all pumped up. I wish it was still on. Plus it was 1hr long, not 1/2hr, so you got your proverbial money's worth. adunham, you missed out thats for sure!!!
Believe it or not... my Aunt, dated the writer of that song, he even sang it with his guitar at a Thanksgiving dinner many yrs ago. He lived in the house on the hill with the outdoor tub. I have a Fall Guy Jacket somewhere... used to anyway..
I loved that show, and to this day, I'll never forget to not turn hard when driving down a hill. Sure, it makes sense, but the only reason I remember is because Colt taught me.
